Chief Negotiator for treaty consolidation with Western Balkan states in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia

MFA building The Chief Negotiator for treaty consolidation with Western Balkan states in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, Mr. Michael Davidson, visited Belgrade today and had talks with the officials of the Sector for the European Union and the Department of International Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

Mr. Davidson highlighted the priorities of the United Kingdom in the process of consolidation of treaties between the United Kingdom and Serbia, in the context of UK leaving the EU.

The two sides concluded that the United Kingdom recognized an interest in maintaining the high level of cooperation and would endeavour to provide an appropriate legal framework guaranteeing continuity and legal certainty to citizens and companies in the two countries after the United Kingdom exited the European Union.
