Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
In cordial and open talks, the officials jointly assessed that the friendly ties between Serbia and Russia had reached the level of strategic partnership, emphasizing commitment to further strengthening of all forms of cooperation. Furthermore, building on the excellent political relations, they noted that it was realistic to expect that economic and cultural relations, as well as joint projects in various spheres, would be intensified even further. A more diversified and deeper cooperation between the two Parliaments and their respective committees with various competences, particularly those on economy and investments, could play a contributing role to this end.
Minister Dacic expressed his satisfaction over the fact that the visit by the Delegation of the the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, headed by Mr. Vyacheslav Volodin, demonstrated again the readiness existing between the two countries for carrying out further the political dialogue at high and top levels.
