First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Mr. Khalid Suleiman Al Jarallah.
In the talks, both sides affirmed the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two countries and expressed readiness for their further promotion. They underlined in particular the need to intensify the political dialogue as well as to strengthen economic and investment cooperation.
Mr. Khalid Suleiman Al Jarallah conveyed the readiness of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to meet with the Head of Serbian diplomacy.
As the officials exchanged views on the current crisis in relations between certain countries of the Gulf, Minister Dacic underlined that the Republic of Serbia supported reaching a solution through dialogue and welcomed the facilitating role of the Emir of Kuwait aimed at overcoming this crisis.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait is visiting Belgrade to take part in the bilateral political consultations between the two ministries, hosted by the State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nemanja Stevanovic.
