CataniaFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of a Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic participated currently in Catania in a Adriatic and Ionian Council/EUSAIR Ministerial Meeting and a 3rd Annual Forum of a EU Strategy for a Adriatic and Ionian Region, during a invitation of Foreign Minister of a Italian Republic Angelino Alfano.

The eventuality enclosed appearance of Foreign Ministers of a Republic of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republic of Croatia, Greece, Republic of Slovenia and Montenegro.

The assembly discussed a latest developments in Southeast Europe and their impact on informal team-work and adopted a Joint Declaration on stream hurdles in a region. Considering a significance of a Adriatic and Ionian Initiative and a EU Strategy for a Adriatic and Ionian Region as good as a need for an strong communication with EU institutions, member of a European Commission were also in attendance.

At this year’s meeting, Macedonia was certified to membership of a Adriatic and Ionian Initiative.
