Panel discussion on Serbia’s foreign, security and defence policy at the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac

Faculty of Law in KragujevacThe Acting Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security Policy, Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, participated, on 26 October 2017, in the panel discussion at the Kragujevac Faculty of Law focusing on the challenges of foreign, security and defence policy of the Republic of Serbia.

The event, hosted by the Institute for European Affairs in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac, was held as a follow-up to similar events, attended always by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition to Ambassador Filipovic, the speakers included Member of Parliament and Head of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Dragan Sormaz; Chief of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade, General Cesare Marinelli, and Deputy Chief of the US Mission in Belgrade, Kurt Donnelly.

The panel discussion with students dealt with the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Serbia, Serbia – NATO relations within the Partnership for Peace programme, Serbia’s EU accession process, particularly in the areas of security and defence, security challenges and regional cooperation.
