The Republic of Serbia welcomes the recently held historic summit between President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un, extending its full support to the two sides’ efforts to achieve peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula through dialogue.
Confident that the Summit has opened a new era in the relations between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea, in line with the newly agreed Panmunjeom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula, the Republic of Serbia finds that this is an important step towards full denuclearization and the achievement of peace and all-round prosperity on the Korean Peninsula.
As a sincere friend of both countries, Serbia will continue to extend its wholehearted support to all efforts aimed at the establishment of permanent peace, to the benefit of not only their citizens, but of the world at large as well.
