Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation to convene in December in Novi Sad

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, the Co-Chair of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, talked today in Moscow with the Russian Co-Chair of the Committee, Mr. Dmitry Rogozin.

Today’s meeting in Moscow was a regular meeting of the two Co-Chairs ahead of the Intergovernmental Committee regular session.

The meeting agreed to hold the next, 16th Intergovernmental Committee session in December 2017 in Novi Sad.

“We have jointly noted that there was a rise in economic activity, that commercial exchange has increased in the first seven months of this year and we expect that last year’s volume of trade will be surpassed by the end of the year.

We also discussed many topics that need to be on the agenda of the Committee’s regular session, including setting in motion the procedure for the signature of a Free Trade Agreement with the entire Euro-Asian Union.
We have discussed energy cooperation since gas supply is very important to us.

Also, we have considered cooperation in agriculture, industrial production, start of talks on innovations, digitalization and information technologies”, said Minister Dacic walking out the meeting.
