Further steps in the promotion of cooperation between Serbia and Uganda

Ivica Dacic with Henry OkelloFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic has met today, in the framework of the 73rd UNGA, with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Uganda Henry Okello.

The substantive talks resulted in concrete agreements on further steps to promote the overall bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

The Ugandan Minister underlined the significant role of the SFRY and Belgrade in assisting the people of Uganda in the years following their gaining of independence and great friendship between Tito and leaders of Uganda.

Minister Okello underscored firm positions of Uganda concerning the non-recognition of the unilateral acts such as the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo.

He also expressed satisfaction at increasingly better economic cooperation between our two countries.

The two collocutors concluded that it was necessary to continue with the exchange of visits on all levels which would give an additional impetus to the development of inter-state cooperation.
