Minister Dacic confers with the President of the National People’s Assembly of the Republic of Guinea Bissau

Ivica Dacic with Cipriano CassamaFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic has met today with the President of the National People’s Assembly of the Republic of Guinea Bissau Cipriano Cassama.
Minister Dacic recalled the traditionally friendly relations existing between the two countries dating back to the period of time when the people of Guinea Bissau fought for independence and the time of cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement.

Minister Dacic informed his collocutor about Serbia’s policy concerning Kosovo and Metohija and its efforts aimed at reaching a solution in the EU-facilitated Brussels dialogue, explaining that unilateral acts were absolutely unacceptable for Serbia.

President Cassama said that his country did not accept independence of “Kosovo” and that it respected the territorial integrity of Serbia, which they perceive as united and indivisible with Kosovo and Metohija as its integral part, and that it can count on their understanding, support and solidarity in that regard.

The two collocutors agreed that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries form an excellent basis for further strengthening of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
