Senator Johnson emphasized support to the development of democracy, fight against corruption and promotion of economic cooperation with Serbia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met in Washington, today, with Senator Ron Johnson.

Serbian Foreign Minister and Senator Johnson had a very substantive conversation. Minister Dacic took the opportunity to invite Senator Johnson to visit Serbia.

Today’s meeting was focused on the promotion of bilateral cooperation, European integration of Serbia and regional cooperation.

Senator Johnson showed a strong interest in the migrant crisis, situation in the Western Balkan region, and contribution of the Republic of Serbia to combating terrorism. He particularly underlined his intention to enhance the United States support to the development of democracy, fight against corruption and promotion of economic cooperation between the United States and the Republic of Serbia.
