Serbia-Austria bilateral relations are good and characterized by well-developed cooperation in all segments

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked today to Alexander Marschik, Political Director/Head of the Bilateral Relations Sector at Austria’s Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, who was paying a one-day visit to Serbia.

In the talks, both sides reaffirmed that the Serbia-Austria bilateral relations were good and characterized by a well-developed cooperation in all segments.

They particularly noted that the high- and top-level dialogue was on a constant upswing.

Both flagged up economic cooperation as another proof of good relations, underlining that the last year’s trade in goods amounted to EUR 1 billion.

Moreover, the talks highlighted the importance of regional stability, cooperation and of the support that Austria offered to Serbia’s European integration process.

The collocutors also exchanged views about the regional situation and the importance of Serbia’s contribution to peace and stability preservation. In this context, the Serbian side expressed its readiness to devote further efforts aimed at reaching a lasting solution, in the interest of Belgrade and Pristina, and one contributive to the stability of the entire region and, by extension, to that of Europe.
