State Secretary Ivica Toncev had talks with the Leader of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), Mr. Heinz-Christian Strache, on Saturday 25 March.
In the talks, the two interlocutors underlined the importance of partnership between the two states, stressing in particular the current economic cooperation and prospects for its strengthening. It was highlighted that Serbia was able to offer very favourable conditions for new investments from Austria, a leading investor in the Serbian economy. Particular attention was devoted to prospects for Austrian investments in agriculture, food industry and environmental projects.
The importance of the Serbian diaspora in Austria was underlined as well, and recognized by both collocutors as an important link between the two countries.
Mr. Heinz-Christian Strache arrived in Belgrade, accompanied by Vienna’s Deputy Mayor Mr. Johann Gudenus and by his Head of Office Mr. Konstantin Dobrilovic.
