First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Security and Interior of the Kingdom of Belgium, Jan Jambon.
They assessed that the bilateral relations between their countries were good and friendly, with opportunities for their further enhancement, including by intensifying the political dialogue. It was agreed that there was a common interest in further deepening and strengthening all forms of bilateral cooperation.
Minister Dacic thanked his interlocutor for the continued support extended by the Kingdom of Belgium thus far to the European integration of the Republic of Serbia, expressing hope that it would be continued in the future.
DPM and Minister of Security and Interior Jan Jambon thanked his host for the readiness expressed by the Serbian side to develop relations in all areas, particularly in the fight against terrorism and combating crime.
The talks also dealt with the migrant crisis and other security challenges.
resident Rakotomamonjy stated that the peoples of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Madagascar were brotherly peoples, sharing the same values ever since the times when the SFRY played a leading role in the Non-Aligned Movement, and provided assistance to the liberation movements of African countries. To the effect of further strengthening these relations, he proposed the setting up of Serbia-Madagascar Parliamentary Friendship Group.
