First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent his best wishes on the occasion of Easter to the Serbian Patriarch Irinej, Belgrade Archbishop Stanislav Hocevar and to all church dignitaries and worshippers belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church celebrating Easter, the most joyous Christian feast.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to extend cordial congratulations to all members of both creeds celebrating Easter.
Easter celebrates the triumph of life over death and symbolizes hope in a new beginning and a better tomorrow. We know that the times are such as we create them, so let these joyous days inspire us all with a new hope and belief in a better future.
For the sake of us here and now, and for the sake of the future generations, we have to set aside our differences and work to the benefit of Serbia and each individual in our country.
Along with the wish to overcome all the challenges and trials that our age abounds in, without losing hope, faith and love, and to be brought closer together and bound by the shared Christian teachings, I wish all the citizens of Serbia celebrating Easter this year according to the Gregorian and Julian calendars to celebrate the most important Christian holiday in peace and familial happiness, health and well-being”, reads the congratulatory message signed by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
