First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call from Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Chepurin.
Ambassador Chepurin delivered congratulatory messages by the Russian Federation’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, on the occasion of the upcoming holiday season.
In the talks, they summarized the results of the two countries’ cooperation carried out in 2017 and jointly assessed that the recent visit by the delegation of the Republic of Serbia to Moscow, headed by President Aleksandar Vucic, had been highly successful and in line with the achieved level of bilateral relations.
Minister Dacic took this opportunity as well to express his gratitude for the strong and consistent support of the Russian Federation to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin wished Minister Dacic that the incoming 2018 would be a year of new opportunities, bringing success to him in all his endeavours. He wished the Minister and his next of kin good health, tranquillity and well-being.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov emphasized that the Russia-Serbia strategic partnership fully corresponded the interests of the two peoples and that the dialogue had been strengthened at all levels.
“I have fond memories of the meetings we have had during the outgoing year and I am counting on continuing the meaningful dialogue with you in Belgrade, on 21-22 February 2018, during my visit on the occasion of the 180th anniversary since the establishment of Russia-Serbia diplomatic relations. We are ready to continue to coordinate our steps in the international arena with our Serbian partners”, says the congratulatory message by Minister Lavrov.
