First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, who is on an official visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, had talks today with President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari.
In a cordial conversation, the interlocutors underlined that the relations between the two countries were traditionally friendly, based on mutual trust and understanding.
Minister Dacic and the President of Nepal discussed the current situations in Serbia and Nepal, as well as major international issues.
Minister Dacic informed President Bhandari of Serbia’s foremost foreign policy priorities, particularly the exceptional importance of Kosovo and Metohija to Serbia.
The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed his special gratitude for the principled position of Nepal regarding non-recognition of unilateral declaration of independence of “Kosovo”, and informed President Bhandari of the ongoing situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
President Bhandari and the Serbian Foreign Minister expressed their firm convictions that the bilateral relations between their countries would be promoted, economic cooperation in particular.
Minister Dacic conveyed to the President of Nepal the greetings from President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, and expressed hope that President Bhandari would visit Serbia soon.
