First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a meeting today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile Roberto Ampuero Espinoza, on the margins of the 13th Summit of the Pacific Alliance, in Mexico.
In a substantive and friendly conversation, the two Foreign Ministers positively assessed the current bilateral cooperation, agreeing on the huge potential for its further development, primarily in the area of economic cooperation.
Serbian Foreign Minister thanked his collocutor for Chile’s principled position regarding the respect of territorial integrity and international law, and for the country’s consistent and firm positon not to recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
The two Ministers exchanged the views and positions on major foreign political challenges facing both countries, and on the importance and benefits of Serbia’s associate membership in the Pacific Alliance – regional platform primarily oriented to the enhancement of economic cooperation.
With a view to the further advancement of the friendly ties, Minister Dacic invited his Chilean colleague to visit Serbia.
