First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Serbia, Denis Keefe.
Ambassador Keefe delivered to Minister Dacic a letter of congratulation from the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson, on the occasion of Mr. Dacic’s re-appointment as Foreign Minister. The British Minister’s letter welcomes the dedication of the new Serbian Government to reforms and emphasizes the wish for cooperation on the most significant matters for the Republic of Serbia. In addition, full support of the United Kingdom to Serbia’s European integration process was highlighted.
During today’s meeting, Minister Dacic and Ambassador Keefe both noted that the bilateral relations were good, and that there was room for further improvement of all forms of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economy.
Minister Dacic pointed out the necessity of strengthening the cooperation between the two countries on a multilateral level, which was welcomed by Ambassador Keefe.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange positions on current regional matters.
Both sides expressed their readiness to continue the intensive communication and comprehensive cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom.
