First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received Mr. Federico Mayor, President of the Council of the European Centre for Peace and Development (ECPD), former years-long Director General of UNESCO.
Federico Mayor participated in the Conference “Peace and Democratic Multilateralism”, organized by the European Centre for Peace and Development of the UN University for Peace, held in Belgrade, on 27 October 2017.
At today’s meeting, views were exchanged on democratic multilateralism and current global developments.
The Minister thanked the renowned Spanish scientist and diplomat for consistent opposition to the initiative for “Kosovo” to become a UNESCO member and publically expressed views that the request was in contravention of the principles and norms of international law.
