First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic sent a message of condolence to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and to the Stoltenberg family at the passing of Thorwald Stoltenberg, which reads as follows:
“I was truly saddened by the passing of your father, an honorary citizen of Belgrade and an experienced and wise politician and diplomat.
As Minister of Foreign Affairs and later on Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for former Yugoslavia, even at the most trying times for the people from these lands, your father has never lost feeling warmth and concern for the common man’s life.
You may be certain that his commitment and kindness will never be forgotten”, Minister Dacic says in his condolence message.
