Readiness to further solidify cooperation between Serbia, Pan-African Parliament and African countries

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today Speaker of the Pan-African Parliament, Hon. Roger Nkodo Dang and a member of the Pan-African Parliament from Mauritius, who are visiting Serbia at the invitation of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojkovic.

In highly cordial and friendly talks, views were exchanged and mutual readiness reiterated for further solidification of cooperation between Serbia, the Pan-African Parliament and African countries, at the bilateral level.

Minister Dacic pointed to the huge importance that Serbia attaches to the development of relations with African countries and conveyed Serbia’s readiness to achieve, as the key successor of the SFRY policy, the then level of relations, both political and economic.

Minister Dacic expressed his expectation that the African countries that had not recognized the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo would continue to adhere to the position, and the Speaker of the Pan-African Parliament reaffirmed, in view of the excellent and traditionally friendly relations between African countries and Serbia, the continuation of the principled support of the Pan-African Parliament,  Cameroon and other African countries to Serbia regarding Kosovo and Metohija, at both bilateral and multilateral level.
