First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mamadyarov, on the fringes of the 18th Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Both Ministers noted the very good bilateral cooperation existing on political and economic levels.
Minister Mamadyarov underlined the importance of respecting the principles of international law and territorial integrity, indicating the identical positions of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding issues in the respective areas.
The Serbian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the forthcoming visit of the President of Serbia to Azerbaijan, which would give an additional impetus to the enhancement of overall bilateral cooperation and mutual support.
It was jointly assessed at today’s meeting that the friendly relations between the two states, based on strategic partnership, also encouraged mutual support on the broader international scene.
