“Another attempt by Kosovo to join Interpol failed at today’s Interpol General Assembly meeting in Indonesia.
Despite months of Kosovo’s preparations and sending of notes to all Interpol member States, the Interpol General Assembly has dismissed all requests to inscribe additional items concerning Kosovo’s admission to membership, on its agenda. Kosovo applied for membership back in April 2015, but the application has not been approved by the Interpol Executive Committee to the present day.
After UNESCO, this is yet another proof that Kosovo’s unilateral steps towards its membership in international organizations are no longer being supported, which, among other things, is the result of an intensive Serbian Government activity aimed at unmasking such policy”, stated Foreign Minister Dacic.
