State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic met with Ireland’s Minister of State for European Affairs Helen McEntee.
In the talks, the officials exchanged views on the bilateral relations between the two countries and Serbia’s European integration.
They assessed the bilateral relations as good, but also emphasized the need for their intensification, particularly in terms of political dialogue, as well as the promotion of economic cooperation.
Cooperation in the field of digitization and IT sector was identified as the most promising, considering the good results the two states achieved in this area.
The interlocutors discussed concrete forms of cooperation, including through the holding of IT summits in Dublin and Belgrade.
Agriculture was noted as another area in which the promotion of cooperation would be in the mutual interest.
Helen McEntee Ireland’s Minister of State for European Affairs affirmed the support to Serbia’s reform efforts and European integration, stressing the readiness of Ireland to provide concrete assistance and support to these processes.
