A round of bilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey were held in Ankara today.
The Serbian delegation was headed by State Secretary Nemanja Stevanovic, while the Turkish delegation was led by MFA Undersecretary, Ambassador Ümit Yalçin. The Serbian delegation also included Head of the Neighbouring Countries Department, Ambassador Slobodan Vukcevic as well as the Serbian Ambassador to Turkey Zoran Markovic.
They discussed all bilateral issues of importance for relations between the two countries, noting that the relations were very good. It was stressed in particular that there was room for their further promotion in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
Both sides emphasized the importance of the upcoming visit to the Republic of Turkey by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic. The delegations also discussed issues related to the Western Balkans and the Middle East region. The officials agreed that the holding of political consolations would have a regular dynamic
