First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Li Wei, President of the Development Research Centre of the State Council (the Government) of the People’s Republic of China.
Li Wei heads the think-tank of the Chinese Government tasked with defining the national strategy for China’s economic and social development.
The high-ranking official from the People’s Republic of China and Minister Dacic discussed the bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the People’s Republic of China, as well as the Serbian view of the “One Belt One Road” intercontinental initiative, including the strategy for economic development in the Republic of Serbia.
Minister Dacic expressed his pleasure over the powerful rise in the two countries’ bilateral relations, and emphasized in particular the importance Serbia attaches to the forthcoming visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping; Minister Dacic pointed to the fact that the meetings Li Wei had during his three-day stay in Belgrade constituted a significant element of the preparations ahead of the visit to be made by the President of the People’s Republic of China.
