From 18-20 October, an event titled “Security, the Western Balkans and the UK: working together to address shared challenges” was held at Wilton Park (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
Wilton Park, an executive agency of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, gathered participants coming from various institutions of the Western Balkan countries, as well as UK and other Western countries’ bodies, to discuss a number of issues concerning combating corruption, money laundering, criminal justice system reform, and also international cooperation in the field of security policy in the Western Balkans and facing security challenges.
This reputable event, held in the build-up to the forthcoming Summit of the Western Balkans Six, to take place next year in the United Kingdom, was attended by representatives of the Republic of Serbia who included: Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for Security Policy Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Milica Bozanic, Assistant Police Director Bogoljub Zivkovic, Deputy Head of Office for Combating Organised Crime Ilija Hodoba and public prosecutor at the Appellate Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Tomislav Kilibarda.
