Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit received Acting Assistant Foreign Minister Ambassador Goran Aleksic who, in the extensive talks, conveyed to him that Serbia attached great importance to cooperation with Arab countries, as well as Belgrade’s resolve to its deepening.
They confirmed the importance and role of the Arab League in the Middle East peace process, as well as the commitment to the respect of principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Ambassador Goran Aleksic informed his collocutor about the current political situation in our region, migration issues, while Secretary General Gheit expressed particular interest for the issue of Serbia’s European perspective.
