Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic was today on a daylong working visit to the Kingdom of Spain.
The Serbian Foreign Minister had separate meetings today in Madrid with the President of the Congress of Deputies, Ms. Ana Pastor, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alfonso Dastis.
In the meetings it was jointly assessed that intergovernmental bilateral cooperation was at an exceptionally high level, that the two countries’ views were fully aligned concerning the respect of the principles of international law and territorial integrity of states, as well as that the excellent political relations encouraged an enhanced development of cooperation in economy, education and culture.
In the talks with Spanish high officials it was estimated that the support of Spain to Serbia’s European integration process was of vital importance for our success on this path.
In a meeting with President of the Congress of Deputies Ana Pastor, Minister Dacic underscored the importance of the development of parliamentary cooperation, while in the talks with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Alfonso Dastis, views were exchanged on all political, economic, security, bilateral and multilateral issues of importance for both countries.
