First Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call by Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães, Under Secretary General for Multilateral Political Affairs, Europe and North America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Ambassador Magalhães led Brazil’s delegation to the bilateral political consultations held between the two Foreign Ministries.
In cordial talks, the sides expressed their satisfaction with the friendly relations existing between the two states, which are marking this year the 80th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Serbian side underlined the importance it attached to its relationship with Brazil, which is very good and characterized by a high level of mutual understanding and a wish to upgrade the existing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, especially in economy and contractual basis. It also expressed its gratitude for Brazil’s principled support on preservation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
Both sides confirmed their interest in establishing continuity of political dialogue between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and in an exchange of visits at the level of Foreign Ministers.
