First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, who is on a two-day official visit to Mozambique, paid a call on the Parliament and had meaningful talks with Parliamentary Speaker Veronica Nataniel Macamo Dlovo.
In in-depth discussions, the Parliamentary Speaker informed her collocutor in details about the composition and priorities in the work of the Parliament as well as about the biggest challenges facing the development of parliamentarianism and democracy in Mozambique.
She underlined, in particular, the continued advocacy for the equality and equal representation of all segments of society on political level including in the Parliament.
Speaker Macamo emphasized full support of Mozambique to the territorial integrity of Serbia and to the respect of the principles of international law as well as the necessity of joint action by the parliamentary delegations of the two countries in the defence of their shared priorities and goals.
Minister Dacic informed his collocutor about the course of the reform implementation and about the most important internal and foreign policy goals of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
The two sides jointly assessed that the historical friendly cooperation between the two countries offered a perspective of substantial promotion of cooperation and mutual friendly interaction in many areas of mutual interest.
