During the visit to Nepal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic held a lecture at the renowned Nepal Council on International Relations. The theme of the lecture, attended by many prominent personalities, was “Serbia in the Region, Europe and the World”.
The Serbian Foreign Minister took the opportunity to inform the participants on the current situation in the Western Balkans region, Serbia’s European accession process, and the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
Minister Dacic referred to his country’s long tradition of friendly relations with Nepal and expressed Serbia’s views on the further course of development of the bilateral cooperation between the countries.
In order to deepen their mutual relations, Minister Dacic underlined the intention of the Republic of Serbia to establish a Consulate in Nepal, headed by an Honorary Consul.
The Serbian Minister further stated that Serbia was considering waiver of visa requirements for citizens of Nepal.
The lecture provided an excellent opportunity to present Serbia to the academics of Nepal, in the context of the Western Balkans region, Europe and the world.
