First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) Dmitry Pankin, in the margins of the Euro Asia Energy Security Forum in Belgrade.
President of BSTDB presented the activities of the Bank and introduced to his interlocutors the terms offered by the Bank to its members. He pointed to the possible modalities of cooperation between Serbia and BSTDB which could lead to Serbia’s membership and asked that the Republic of Serbia considered the possibility of joining the Bank.
Minister Dacic underlined the importance Serbia attached to the economic development in the region and the role of regional financial institution of this type.
He recalled the highly developed cooperation between Serbia and major global financial institutions and said that Serbia would carefully consider possible membership in the Bank.
