First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar Beatrice Attalah on the eve of the opening of the 16th Summit of the Francophonie to be held in Madagascar, from 23 to 26 November 2016.
It has been estimated that the traditionally friendly relations should be continued in the future through the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, academic exchange and cooperation between the two Ministries of Defence. Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude for the principled position of Madagascar on the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo. Furthermore, he informed Minister Attalah on the development of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Brussels and kindly asked that Madagascar maintained the current position on that issue.
The Serbian Foreign Minister invited Minister Attalah to visit Serbia, which she accepted with pleasure.
