First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks today with Richard Haas, the President of the Council on Foreign Relations, one of the pre-eminent United States think-tanks, bringing together, ever since it came into existence in 1921, the most renowned persons from political, business, media and academic communities in the United States.
The Council on Foreign Relations is the publisher of “Foreign Affairs” magazine, globally the most prestigious foreign relations magazine.
Minister Dacic informed his interlocutor of the regional situation, indicating the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the establishment of regional peace and stability. The Serbian Foreign Minister underlined, in this light, the importance of the United States role, and expressed Serbia’s interest in the further development of positive dynamics in the bilateral relations in the future as well.
Richard Haas emphasized that the United States of America shared Serbia’s interest in respect of regional stability and, in this context, supported dialogue as a way of addressing all outstanding issues.
