State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ivica Toncev had talks today with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jakub Dürr.
The two collocutors exchanged views on bilateral relations, European integration and multilateral cooperation.
Both underlined that Serbia and the Czech Republic had good relations void of any outstanding issues. They also noted that the Czech Republic strongly supported the European integration of Serbia and regional cooperation in the Western Balkan region, based on the model of V4 member states.
State Secretary Toncev emphasized that Belgrade was interested in the dialogue with the authorities in Pristina, recalling that Serbia expects the Community of Serb Municipalities to be established soon, as envisaged under the Brussels Agreement. He underlined that it was necessary that both parties demonstrated good will in order to make concrete steps forward in the dialogue.
During the talks, it was also pointed out that the Czech Republic was among the 15 largest trading partners of Serbia and that their trade was nearing EUR 1 billion on an annual level. Good position of the Czech minority in Serbia and of the Serb minority in the Czech Republic was another good example in the relations between the two countries.
