First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked today with Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities.
During the meeting, Minister Dacic expressed his satisfaction with the visit, as an additional impetus to the strengthening of ties between Serbia and Saudi Arabia. He welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of tourism, voicing the hope that it would speed up the cooperation in this field.
Dacic informed the Saudi Prince of Serbia’s desire to protect its cultural, historical and religious monuments in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as on the activities of Serbia in UNESCO in this regard. He explained that the postponement of the admission of “Kosovo” to UNESCO would allow this issue to be solved in the dialogue conducted in Brussels under the auspices of the European Union.
The Serbian Foreign Minister also expressed Serbia’s readiness for further development and expansion of bilateral cooperation, especially economic and investment cooperation, as well as cooperation in the fields of education, culture and sports.
