The official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E Mr. Nasser Bourita, to Serbia, from September 10th and 11th 2018, on the occasion of the ministerial political consultations was a success and an opportunity for deepening exchange on questions of common interest and continuing their excellent coordination within international organizations.
The meeting between H.E Mr. Nasser Bourita and H.E Mr. Ivica Dačić permitted to comfort the positions of the two countries as regard their territorial integrity, and the importance of political solutions in the settlement of regional conflicts, in line with the resolutions of the United Nations’ Security Council which offer credible and serious basis of negotiations, which preserves the territorial integrity of the countries.
To this effect, Morocco and Serbia agreed to reinforce their bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship, cooperation and respect of the principal of territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
This visit also aims at boosting economic ties with Serbia to reach a level that truly reflects the excellence of political relations. The visit of H.E. Mr Bourita takes place a couple of days prior to the organization of a Seminar entitled Doing Business with Morocco, which gathers top Moroccan institutions such as CGEM, AMDIE, MASEN, and ADA, as well as a dozen businessmen who come to Belgrade to prospect new partnerships and business opportunities, in view of establishing a Moroccan-Serbian Business Council.
The exchange with high Serbian officials involved around a strong partnership that is taking shape, and a road map was drawn for its consolidation, through the holding of the 2nd Joint economic commission in December 2018, in Rabat.
Ministers Dačić and Bourita signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two counties in the area of the Youth and Sport, which will enable the exchange of know-how, experience and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
