First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call by the Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Philip Pinnington.
On this occasion, Minister Dacic thanked Ambassador Pinnington for his personal contribution to the development of the overall bilateral relations. They underlined in particular mutual satisfaction with the high-level political dialogue having been promoted, as demonstrated by the official visit made by Minister Dacic to Ottawa, in November 2016.
In the talks, it was estimated that the relations between the two countries were good with a perspective of further rise, underlining as key point the economic relations and investments. Both sides noted that the strengthening of cooperation between the countries of the Western Balkans region was crucial for the prosperity of all peoples in the region. Canada’s support was reiterated to Serbia’s European integration process and our country’s commitment to maintaining the stability of the region.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of Serbian diplomacy wished Ambassador Pennington every success at professional and personal levels, noting that Serbia’s doors would always be open to him.
Ambassador Pinnington thanked the Minister, noting that he was looking forward to Serbia’s further progress ahead, as a country of great potential.
