Редовне политичке консултације између министарстава спољних послова Републике Србије Украјине одржане у Београду

Ukrajina 6Редовне политичке консултације између Министарства спољних послова Републике Србије и Министарства иностраних послова Украјине на нивоу државног секретара и заменика министра одржане су данас у Београду.

Српску страну је предводио државни секретар Министарства спољних послова Немања Стевановић, а украјинску заменик министра иностраних послова Васиљ Бондар.

Током сусрета размотрена су актуелна билатерална питања и могућности за њихово унапређење, пре свега у економској области.

Размотрен је и широк круг питања сарадње у оквиру међународних организација, форума и иницијатива и договорена даља комуникација у међусобним подршкама.

Српска страна је истакла захвалност за принципијелну позицију Украјине по питању непризнавања једнострано проглашене независности Косова, уз очекивање да ће Украјина наставити да подржава напоре Србије у противљењу намерама Приштине за учлањење у међународне организације.

Након састанка потписан је План консултација између Министарства спољних послова Републике Србије и Министарства иностраних послова Украјине за период 2018-2019. годину.


Minister Dacic confers with the President of the National People’s Assembly of the Republic of Guinea Bissau

Ivica Dacic with Cipriano CassamaFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic has met today with the President of the National People’s Assembly of the Republic of Guinea Bissau Cipriano Cassama.
Minister Dacic recalled the traditionally friendly relations existing between the two countries dating back to the period of time when the people of Guinea Bissau fought for independence and the time of cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement.

Minister Dacic informed his collocutor about Serbia’s policy concerning Kosovo and Metohija and its efforts aimed at reaching a solution in the EU-facilitated Brussels dialogue, explaining that unilateral acts were absolutely unacceptable for Serbia.

President Cassama said that his country did not accept independence of “Kosovo” and that it respected the territorial integrity of Serbia, which they perceive as united and indivisible with Kosovo and Metohija as its integral part, and that it can count on their understanding, support and solidarity in that regard.

The two collocutors agreed that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries form an excellent basis for further strengthening of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.


Readiness for further cooperation with the Association of Caribbean States

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has conferred today with the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) June Soomer who is on a visit to the Republic of Serbia at its invitation.

The two collocutors expressed their pleasure at the first visit paid by the ACS high-ranking official since the admission of the Republic of Serbia as an Observer to this regional organization which brings together a large number of the Caribbean states. Mutual readiness for further cooperation was also reaffirmed at the meeting.

Serbian Foreign Minister assessed the visit by the ASC Secretary General as very important, having historical and key significance, bearing in mind the friendly relations and support on the international level.

Following the meeting, Minister Dacic and Secretary General June Soomer signed the Framework Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Association of Caribbean States, as a legal framework for future cooperation in areas of education, culture, promotion of tourism, protection against natural disasters and other areas of mutual interest.

“Serbia has long-standing friendly relations with the Caribbean states, but they are not sufficiently developed and Serbia is not present enough in that region. That is why we have signed the Framework Agreement in order to create a legal basis for cooperation”, Minister Dacic said adding that Serbia needed to be more present in the region in terms of diplomatic activities.


Minister Dačić and Andrew Bridgen on intensification of cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić talked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Andrew Bridgen, a member of UK Parliament who will be the chair to All-party Group of Friendship with Serbia starting in June.

Both sides assessed the bilateral relations between Serbia and the United Kingdom as good and stable and that the intensification of political dialogue and cooperation in all fields of common interest was important to both sides.

Andrew Bridgen pointed out that, upon taking up the new function, he would actively engage in the promotion of cooperation with Serbia and intensification of the parliamentary cooperation, especially between the two groups of friendship.

Minister Dačić expressed his satisfaction that Andrew Bridgen would be chair to the group of friendship with Serbia and he wished him success in the performance of this function.
