First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, talked today with Richard Moore, Director General for Political Affairs of the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
Both sides assessed that bilateral relations between Serbia and the United Kingdom were good and stable and that the intensification of political dialogue and cooperation in all fields of common interest was important to both sides.
Minister Dačić stressed that it was very good that the UK, Brexit notwithstanding, supported the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia, assessing that it was particularly useful that the Western Balkans Summit would be held in London, in July 2018.
The collocutors also exchanged views about the regional situation and the importance of Serbia’s contribution to peace and stability preservation.
In this context, Minister Dačić emphasized the readiness of the Serbian side to devote further efforts aimed at reaching a lasting, compromise and balanced solution in the dialogue with Pristina, and one contributive to the stability of the entire region and, by extension, to that of Europe.
