First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Ambassador of France in Belgrade Christine Moro concerning the upcoming visit of Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to the French Republic, to take place between 14 and 16 September 2016.
In their cordial talks, the two sides concluded that there was mutual readiness for further enhancement of the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, and that the visit of the Serbian Prime Minister to France only reaffirmed the mutual desire for the intensification of the overall cooperation.
Having in mind that, in the framework of his visit, the Prime Minister will also take part in the Business Forum, where Serbia’s economic potential will be presented to representatives of large French companies, the Minister conveyed his expectation that it might be an opportunity for the increase of French investments in Serbia, including joint implementation of some of the infrastructural projects in Serbia.
Minister Dacic thanked for France’s continuous support in the context of Serbia’s European integration process, recalling that Serbia’s EU membership remained the priority of its foreign policy. Moreover, the Minister conveyed that we highly appreciated the French engagement and the successful organization of the Paris Western Balkans Summit, held on 4 July, which reaffirmed the European perspective for the WB region.
