First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Dimitar Glavchev, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
In the talks, both sides expressed satisfaction over the good bilateral relations between Serbia and Bulgaria as well as an intensive political dialogue carried out in the previous period. They also expressed satisfaction over the good cooperation existing between the two Parliaments, which was an important contribution to the development of overall bilateral relations.
They conveyed readiness for the further promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, primarily in the fields of economy, energy and infrastructure. In this context, the officials underlined the completion of the eastern arm of Corridor 10, modernization of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway, as well as the project for the construction of the Serbia-Bulgaria gas interconnector.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic expressed his gratitude to Bulgaria for its support to the continuation of the EU enlargement policy, which would be one of the priorities of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in the first half of next year.
