First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today in Moscow with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Co-Chairman of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technological Cooperation, Yury Borisov.
This was the first meeting between Minister Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov since his appointment to this post. The Serbian Foreign Minister wished the Russian Deputy Prime Minister a lot of success in the discharge of his new functions, expressing his firm conviction that the successful cooperation will be continued in the future as well.
At this meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the quality of political dialogue and bilateral cooperation in all segments, as well as with the cooperation and mutual support in international organizations.
Our side extended gratitude for the firm and consistent support of the Russian Federation to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
The two sides also discussed the activities and plans for further development of bilateral cooperation in the forthcoming period.
Minister Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation discussed the promotion of economic cooperation as well as cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture and joint projects in agriculture and industry.
Moreover, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the 180th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Russia to be observed this year.
