State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic has received today Mr. Tariq Bin Ali Al Ansari, Head of the Qatar delegation which is on a two-day visit to the Republic of Serbia (on 30 and 31 October 2018), hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Serbia.
In the substantive talks, the two collocutors exchanged views on bilateral, political, economic and other relations between the two countries. Presenting a bigger picture of the investment situation, foreign economic and investment policy of the Republic of Serbia, State Secretary Stevanovic assessed that there were huge opportunities for the intensification of the trade and investment cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Qatar. He expressed his expectation that the visit by the Qatar delegation would be a successful one and that it would produce concrete results in the economic and other areas of cooperation between the two countries. He also underlined that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia stood ready to support and assist, at any time, all initiatives to that end.
Ambassador Tariq Al Ansari thanked State Secretary Stevanovic for his time and expressed expectation that the visit by the delegation he led would make an important contribution to the development of economic and other relations between the two countries. “Qatar is a friend and partner of Serbia”, Ambassador Al Ansari said.
